PAVILIONS

KIPAHULU PAVILION

This open air bamboo structure coves a 20 foot diameter concrete pad. We painted the bamboo to the original green of the bamboo as it grows. All green bamboo turns straw colored upon curing while the black bamboos hold onto their color after curing or drying. This building keeps the sun and rain off while allowing the trades to blow on through.

THE BAMBOO HALE, AT HANA FARMS

The Bamboo Hale at Hana Farms, located along the famous "Road to Hana" in East Maui . Built in 2018 to cover the "Hana Grill" food truck, dining and event space.

YOGA SHALA | KAUPO, MAUI

This beautiful, spacious structure will eventually host yoga classes in the remote community of Kaupo, Maui. Built using a combination of Kiawe posts, treated bamboo poles and dimensional lumber. The views from this quiet haven on the hill side are exceptional.

MOLOKAI HIGH SCHOOL PAVILION

Sponsored by Sustainable Molokai we built this structure for a food processing station for school grown produce.  This structure was engineered by Druc Engineering who has been working with us for some time now.  This was erected with volunteers in Molokai and all who worked on it were astounded by how stiff and strong the structure felt.

HANA FARMS, MAUI

Built as an additional eating space for The Bamboo Hale Restaurant, this pavilion hosts people enjoying their meals closer to nature.

WAIAKOA WILD FLOWERS, MAUI

Waiakoa Wildflowers is a small scale organic farm and floral design studio based in Kula, Hawaii. Sisters Zena and Tessa work together sharing their connection to one another and the natural world.

TWIN FALLS, MAUI

Another beautiful pavilion which can be used for parking vehicles and farm machinery or storing tools. Here we used our Atro bamboo poles which keep their rich, black coloring even after being cured. Most bamboo turns to a straw color after drying. This combination creates a lovely contrast.
